The Dreamwave Experience

A facilitated sound journey to experience what is already within, with room for presence, exploration and integration.

Two ways in: a single session or a full immersive day.

Ways in

Two ways into the experience

Dreamwave can be experienced through a single session or through a full immersive day. Both are entry points into the same practice.

Sessions

A single session

Experience innerdance in a facilitated space, in person or online. Come as you are and explore what unfolds.

The perspective behind it

Nothing to become

We meet each person as whole and complete.

Dreamwave creates space to remember and reconnect with what already exists within you: in the body, in perception, and in the way you meet your own experience.

You are invited to meet whatever arises with curiosity and the freedom to surrender.

What to expect

What it is like

You lie down, usually with your eyes closed, and are carried by a journey of layered sounds and frequencies, live or recorded. Sessions begin and end together in a circle.

How it is held

A facilitator holds the space with presence and attention, and may use voice, instruments or touch. When touch is part of a session, it is explored together, with consent and your boundaries at the centre.

Come as you are

No experience, intention or preparation needed. Everything is allowed within your own boundaries, and you remain responsible for your own experience.

What might emerge

Every experience is different. You may notice sensations, vibrations or emotions; memories, images or thoughts; movement, stillness or shifts in attention.

Sometimes what emerges is familiar. Sometimes it opens into something you could not have imagined.

The space is created together. What emerges is yours to discover.

Five dimensions

Five dimensions of the experience

The five dimensions exist together. Each one is present in the others, and each offers a way of understanding what the experience can open.

Voices

What people have experienced

“I came without knowing what to expect. What unfolded was completely unexpected, yet somehow familiar. It felt like discovering something that had been there all along, just waiting to be noticed.”
Linda P.
“I was surprised by how much I could experience without trying to make anything happen. Sensations, emotions and movement came and went naturally. It helped me discover a different way of relating to my body.”
Jonathan R.
“I felt supported throughout the experience, while also having the freedom to follow my own process. There was no pressure to share, explain or make sense of anything. I could simply be with whatever was there.”
Steven V.

A science-informed practice

Informed by science. Grounded in experience.

Dreamwave approaches innerdance from a systems-thinking perspective, observing the body as a living system. This is informed by research in neuroscience, physiology and the study of consciousness, and by what we observe in practice.

What we stay curious about

  • Nervous system regulationHow the body moves between engagement and rest, and what supports that movement.
  • Body rhythmsThe cycles of breath, heartbeat and movement that shape how we feel.
  • Perception and attentionHow attention moves, and how perception changes with sound and stillness.
  • States of consciousnessThe many ways awareness can shift, from everyday wakefulness to more expansive states.
  • Sound and sensory experienceHow layered sound and frequencies are felt in the body, not only heard.
  • Brain activity and brainwavesWhat research is exploring about the rhythms of the brain while we listen and rest.
