Flowing abstract waves of light and shadow

What emerges when you take the time to notice what is within?

An embodied experience exploring the relationship between body, mind and consciousness through sound and sensation.

Rooted in years of innerdance practice, facilitation and study of the nervous system and human experience.

What is Dreamwave?

A space to explore
what is already within you.

Dreamwave is a facilitated experience rooted in innerdance. You lie down, close your eyes and enter an intentionally designed sound journey.

As you experience, you become sensations, vibrations, emotions, memories, images, thoughts or movement. The experience can involve both engagement and relaxation, drawing on different aspects of the nervous system and allowing your experience to unfold in its own way.

Our understanding of the practice is informed by ongoing curiosity about the nervous system, brain activity, perception and states of consciousness.

The invitation is to explore what becomes available when you give yourself the time, sound and space to experience it.

You lie down.

You close your eyes.

You observe.

What happens in a session?

01

Arrive

We come together, settle into the space, and take a moment to arrive as we are.

02

Experience

You lie down, close your eyes, and listen. For 60–90 minutes, vibrations and frequencies create a space for attention to move through the body and experience.

03

Share & close

We come back together to share, reflect, or simply sit with what was experienced. There is no need to explain or make sense of everything.

What might I experience?

You may notice vibrations, physical sensations, emotions, memories, images, thoughts, movement, stillness, or shifts in attention.

There is no particular experience you need to have. What unfolds is personal to you, and may reach places that are difficult to put into words.

Depending on the setting, the experience may also include intuitive touch, instruments, voice, or subtle scents such as essential oils.

What people notice

Every experience is different. Here are a few reflections from people who have spent time in the Dreamwave space.

“It wasn’t about understanding everything intellectually. It was about allowing the experience.”

Ana B.

“It was very silent and grounded in me, in my system. And I feel it in my body.”

Nina O.

“Things being clear, and then things being such a mystery at the same time.”

The Dreamwave story

Dreamwave was born…

A group sitting in a circle on mats in an open wooden space, with one person lying down at the centre during a session

…from a shared curiosity about people, connection and presence. Along our own paths, we felt a deep desire to create the kind of space and support we had been looking for ourselves, and to explore the possibility that these journeys don’t have to be walked alone.

When we met in 2017, we began exploring, studying and developing our practice together. Our work continued to evolve alongside the many changes, questions and transformations we experienced ourselves.

We created Dreamwave as a space where people can meet themselves, unlearn and reconstruct, and explore what becomes possible through deeper listening and embodied experience. Over time, we came to see this work not as something separate from everyday life, but as a way of bringing different parts of ourselves back into relationship: our inner and outer worlds, our bodies and minds, our experiences and the way we live.

Our ways of teaching, playlisting and creating experiential spaces have continued to evolve through encounters with people and communities across different cultures and around the world.

Dreamwave exists today as an ongoing exploration of how we listen, experience and integrate, creating space to return to what matters and to live from a more connected sense of ourselves.

Who holds the space?

Ahilan and Fanny sitting together outdoors in front of a green, leafy wall

Fanny & Ahilan

“We believe there is an intelligence in the body that can be heard when we create enough space to observe.”

We came to this work through our own experiences of innerdance and deep personal exploration. Along the way, we each moved through periods of profound change, questioning and deconstruction that taught us to meet our own experience with greater honesty and presence.

Over the years, this personal work has also shaped the way we hold space for others. We continue to learn how to listen, stay present and meet what arises without needing to direct it toward a particular outcome.
